Diabetes Care & Life Transitions
Sara Elie MA, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Her clinical practice offers therapy and counseling services to clients in the Chicagoland area. Sara enjoys working with adults, couples, families, adolescents and children. Sara offers warmth and creativity as a therapist. She believes in a safe haven to work through and conduct the therapeutic experience for her clients. With a special interest in diabetes and as a juvenile diabetic herself, for over 36 years, Sara specializes in life transitions of individuals with both Type I and Type II diabetes and their families. Sara utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach to the issues which are faced by those with chronic disease and encourages her clients to take an active and primary role in their personal healing and growth.
Graduate of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Whittier College, California.
Graduate of Masters Degree in Professional Counseling at Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, Illinois.
